UK Long-Term Asset Fund (LTAF)
In November 2021 the innovative UK Long-Term Asset Fund (LTAF) was introduced as a new distinct category of authorised open-ended investment fund. The LTAF has been designed to facilitate access to long-term, illiquid assets such as private equity, private debt, venture capital, infrastructure and real estate. It is anticipated that the LTAF will be an attractive proposition to defined contribution pension schemes, institutional and sophisticated retail investors.
Key features of the new LTAF include the investment powers and dealing requirements, the potential benefits of the LTAF to investors and promoters including the distribution and portfolio diversification opportunities, as well as the liquidity management and investor protection requirements are shown.
